Chronology
This film was supposed to follow a young boy who was separated from his father during World War II. The boy discovers the island of Sodor, where he meets Thomas the Tank Engine and dares to find his father. This was supposed to be the second feature film in the franchise (following “Thomas and the Magic Railroad” in 2000) and was slated for release in 2010. Due to several production issues, the film was repeatedly postponed until it was finally canceled in 2015 when HIT Entertainment went out of business and sold its holdings For Mattel.
